As Co-Founder and Program Manager, our Founder initiated and helped formalize Institut Jaminan Sosial Indonesia (IJSI) under Yayasan Madera Sejahtera. At a time when social security reform seemed stalled, he gathered Indonesia's leading experts — many of whom had fought for years without making progress — and re-energized the movement with fresh urgency.
IJSI's role extended beyond advocacy: through consulting, research, workshops, and training, we educated diverse audiences on the importance of social security reform and built the public pressure that contributed to the passing of the BPJS Law in late 2011. Along the way, IJSI became a trusted partner for government institutions, state-owned enterprises, universities, professional associations, and international organizations.
